Fedra Francocci is a biotechnologist and researcher at the Institute of Anthropogenic Impacts and Sustainability in the Marine Environment of the National Research Council in Italy (CNR). In recent years, she has been involved in regional, national, and European projects aimed at unleashing the potential of innovation in the Mediterranean basin, such as the Interreg Med MISTRAL project. Since 2018, she has been participating in the pilot action aiming to create a "Healthy and Plastic-Free Mediterranean" as part of the BlueMed initiative.
Fedra is the project leader of the CSA BlueMissionMed project, which aims to support the Mediterranean Sea basin in implementing the EU mission "Restoring our oceans and waters," particularly in its goal to prevent and eliminate pollution from our oceans, seas, and waters.
