Ernest TINDO is an international consultant and expert in the blue economy, serving the African Development Bank (AfDB) and several African governments. As the Chief Executive Officer of BEST FOR AFRICA GROUP, a prominent African enterprise specializing in the blue economy, arbitration and mediation, digitalization, and communication, Ernest TINDO is also the Founder and President of the Continental Executive Bureau of the Pan-African Youth Organization for the Blue Economy (OPJEB), with activities spanning across the 55 member countries of the African Union. He is also the Managing Editor of the specialized journal 'Blue Eco Africa.'
As the Initiator and Commissioner General of the 'African Youth Forum on the Blue Economy,' with its inaugural edition scheduled for 2024 in collaboration with the Togolese Republic, Ernest TINDO is a member of the World Ocean Council (WOC), President of the Beninese Association of Maritime and Transport Law (ABDMT), and concurrently serves as the Secretary-General of the French-speaking African Maritime Cluster (CMAF), dedicated to fostering a maritime ecosystem for the development of the blue economy in 21 francophone countries.
As a Judge-Arbitrator Mediator, he is accredited by the Arbitration, Mediation, and Conciliation Center of Benin (CAMeC-Benin) and the International Center for Arbitration and Mediation (CIAM) in Lomé, specializing in maritime and financial affairs.
In his role as a Trainer-Speaker, Ernest TINDO has designed and conducted modules on 'African Youth and Sustainable and Inclusive Blue Economy,' addressing the societal and political challenges of the blue economy in Africa. This was part of the online training program (MOOC) on 'Blue Economy, Maritimization, and the Ocean,' under the auspices of Senghor University and the International University of the Sea.
Ernest TINDO has accumulated fifteen (15) years of experience in the maritime sector and the blue economy, holding significant roles such as Technical Director, Deputy General Manager, and interim General Manager of the National Shippers' Council of Benin (CNCB).
He holds several certifications, including those from UNCTAD in Modern Port Management, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and ECOWAS in Trade Facilitation, UEMOA in Professionalization of Road Transport, and Freight Liberation. His academic achievements include degrees in Economic Law with a specialization in Maritime Law and Transport Law from the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Law and Political Science in Parakou (Benin), Business Law from the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Abomey-Calavi (Benin), Transport and Logistics from the Catholic University of West Africa (UCAO), and International Media Management from the Higher School of Journalism in Lille (France).
