Under the high patronage
of His Majesty King Mohammed VI
16-17 November 2023
Tangier, Morocco.
At the crossroads of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, between Africa and Europe, in Morocco, near the Port of Tanger Med, the great
maritime city of Tangier will host the inaugural edition of the BLUE AFRICA SUMMIT on November 16th and 17th, 2023.
Political leaders, elected representatives from major African coastal cities and regions, economic stakeholders, scientists, maritime users, and civil
society actors will come together for two days of dialogue to collectively establish the first roadmap of the major challenges facing Africa's maritime
domain by 2030.
Engage the continent's national and local authorities to develop innovative, transformative actions for their coastlines, including through regional cooperation projects.
Work with African entrepreneurs to build sustainable economic and financial models.
Encourage initiatives combining scientific expertise, civic commitment and development to protect the Ocean.
AThese are all issues that will only grow in importance over the coming decade, and which justify Africa's own, necessarily recurring, meeting to think about and plan the African sea of tomorrow, within the framework of a sustainable blue economy and a pacified space.
