Ashok Adicéam has been working at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs as Deputy to Ambassador Olivier Poivre d'Arvor since October 2022. In addition, he serves as the Head of Global Public Affairs for the United Nations Ocean Conference, scheduled to take place in Nice in June 2025. Over half of his career within France's international diplomatic network, he held positions as Director of the French Institutes abroad (United States, United Kingdom, India, Nigeria). For the other half, he led private philanthropic foundations, residing and engaging on four continents, including Venice, Shanghai, and New Delhi. For over 25 years, he has been advocating for sustainable transformation policies and actions through education, culture, science, and art. He has served as the director of renowned international institutions and organized international public events. Adicéam is a member of the organizing committee for the Barcelona Ocean Decade Conference (April 2024), the Forum on Ocean Finance and the Blue Economy in Monaco (chaired by Pascal Lamy, June 2025), and the Summit on Sea-Level Rise in Coastal Cities and Regions (chaired by Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice).
